Why Your Business Needs Smarter IT Solutions

I am a huge believer in the idea that there is an IT solution for almost anything, and a few months ago we got a unique challenge.

I met a hydroponic strawberry farmer who was driving back and forth to his farm to check his crops every day. He was spending 20 hours a week on the road.

It was obvious to me that there must be a better solution for him.

So we developed a customised app that he could use to track critical elements of his hydroponic system—from his home.

Suddenly, he could monitor pH levels, electrical conductivity, temperature, nutrient dosage, even his financial investment in energy costs.

He could do all of this without stepping in the car, and all of a sudden, his week opened up by a life-changing 20 hours.

If you haven’t integrated your IT systems and manufacturing systems, you’re missing out on efficiency.

It’s a great example of how smart, integrated IT solutions can be applicable in so many businesses—this app alone could be applied to a number of different agricultural projects including microbreweries, water treatment plants, food manufacturing industry, pulp and paper industry, home automation and more.

It’s about working smarter, gaining maximum efficiency, and unlocking potential without the cost.

I love using tech solutions in problem-solving so much I have made a career of it, most recently partnering with PTC, one of the world’s leading digital transformation technology leaders as a Systems Integrator for PTC Kepware.

PTC offers the software itself, and it’s my job to make sure it’s working to its fullest potential for my clients.

In partnering with PTC, I can bring my specialist knowledge to a broader audience, streamlining their business process, identifying missed opportunities, and reducing waste.

My purpose is to develop and implement tech solutions for small to medium sized enterprises, by blending traditional manufacturing with smart IT systems. The result is a fully integrated solution that improves a client’s bottom line, saving them time and money.

By optimising IT solutions, businesses can expect to see increased productivity through optimised integration, automation and efficiency.

So the real question is, why haven’t you done it yet?
